Kapuso stars Kris Bernal, Mike Tan, and Martin Del Rosario, stars of the upcoming series "House of Lies," have unveiled captivating personal insights that are sure to surprise many.

Each of these talented individuals has shared intriguing details about their lives that often remain hidden from public view.

"Gustong-gusto ko talagang mag-artista. Bata pa lang ako noon ginagaya ko si Judy Ann Santos. Tapos everytime na may shooting na malapit sa amin, magpapaganda talaga ako. (I really wanted to be an actress. When I was a kid, I used to imitate Judy Ann Santos. Then every time there was a shooting near us, I would really dress up)," said Kris, who revealed she was a background actor when she was just starting in showbiz, during the recent media conference at GMA Network.

Kris added, "Sa sobrang desperate ko (mag-artista), pumayag na talaga ako maging passserby. Sa background lang talaga ako. Sumali pa nga ako noon sa PBB, pero hindi ako natanggap. So nagtry na lang ako sa Starstruck Batch 4. (Because I was so desperate (to become an actress), I actually agreed to be a passerby. I was just in the background. I even joined PBB before, but I wasn't accepted. So I just tried out for Starstruck Batch 4.)"

Mike shared the exciting news that he had embarked on a flavorful journey through culinary school, where he immersed himself in the art and science of cooking, honing his skills amid the sizzling pans and fragrant spices.

"Hindi ko na sasabihin kung ilang taon ako nun. Gusto ko talagang pumasok sa culinary school pero two years pala ang kailangan. Hindi ko kaya kasi ako lang ang nagsu-support sa family ko. (I won't say how old I was then. I really wanted to go to culinary school, but it took two years. I couldn't afford it because I was the only one supporting my family.)"

"So kapag nag-aral ako, babagsak ang lahat ng work. pero two years ago, finally, pinagsabay ko ang culinary school at showbiz. So after ng taping didirecho ako sa Katipunan kasi andun ang school. Doon ako nag-aral at once a week lang naman ang class namin. So technically, pwede na ako mag-apply bilang cook. OJT na lang ang kulang. (So if I go to school, I will fail in all my work. But two years ago, finally, I combined culinary school and showbiz. So after the taping, I would go to Katipunan because that's where the school was. I studied there, and our class was only once a week. So technically, I can apply as a cook. All I need is OJT)," Mike also said.

Martin passionately indulges in the art of collecting exquisite perfumes, each fragrance a treasure he often discovers during his travels abroad.

"Mahilig talaga ako magcollect ng perfume kapag nag-aabroad ako. Hindi talaga ako mahilig sa fresh scent. Noong bata ako mahilig ako sa scent na luma, musk or leather. Madalas suot ko ay sneakers, shorts, tshirts. Ganun lang. Hindi ako mahilig sa relo. So pakiramdam ko, kapag may pabango ako, pwede na. (I really like collecting perfume when I go abroad. I'm not really into fresh scents. When I was a kid, I liked old scents, musk, or leather. I usually wear sneakers, shorts, and t-shirts. That's all. I'm not into watches. So I feel like, if I have perfume, it's okay)," Martin said.

Seasoned actresses Beauty Gonzalez and Kris Bernal make their much-anticipated clash and collab on GMA Afternoon Prime, taking on their most challenging roles to date as a mother and a wife in House of Lies.

Premiering this Jan. 19, the star-studded drama features Beauty as Marjorie and Kris as Althea. Also bannering the series are Mike Tan as Paolo and Martin del Rosario as Edward, who are both set to deliver standout performances.

Adding further depth to the series are veteran stars Jackie Lou Blanco, Lito Pimentel, and Snooky Serna. Joining them are Sparkle artists Kayla Davies, Angel Cadao, Geo Mhanna, and Kokoy de Santos. Completing the star-studded cast are Tanya Gomez, Patricia Tumulak, and Gee Canlas.

House of Lies tells the gripping story of two women determined to secure their dream life and protect their families. But ambition, deceit, and betrayal weave a dangerous web, ultimately building a house of lies.

Marjorie is a devoted mother and loving wife to Paolo. Meanwhile, Paolo’s brother Edward is married to Althea, a high-maintenance, insecure woman who is also a strict mother to their daughter.

Born into wealth, Paolo and Edward have always competed to prove themselves the better son and rightful heir to Torrecampo Realty. Althea, on the other hand, is consumed by her insecurities toward Marjorie and is ready to bring her down now that they are part of the same family.
