Alden Richards, Nadine Lustre to star in Viu series 'Love, Siargao'; Korean actor Choi Bo-min also in cast
Stars Alden Richards and Nadine Lustre will be starring in the Viu original series “Love, Siargao” set for premiere in the second quarter of the year.
The 26-episode Filipino romance-drama is set against the shores of Siargao Island. Also in the cast is Korean actor and former K-pop boy band Golden Child member Choi Bo-min.
The series explores the irresistible pull of the local myth known as the "Siargao Curse,” a lore that speaks of how visitors either never leave the island or inevitably lose their heart to love.
It follows Jao (Alden Richards) and Kara (Nadine Lustre), two strangers bitten by different versions of this curse, whose clashing principles lead them through the highs and lows of a modern romance that forever changes their destinies.
The series is also a visual homage to Siargao’s beaches, food scene, unique Filipino experiences, and the warmth of Filipino culture.
Viu has collaborated with Viva Entertainment, which will serve as line producer.
