Bulacan police conducted anti-illegal drug operations on Tuesday, Jan. 13, and Wednesday, Jan. 14, resulting in the arrest of 22 individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs worth P368,000.
In Guiguinto, Officer-in-Charge Maj. Ian Sanchez said the drug operation was carried out by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU).
The arrested suspects were identified as alias “Manny,” 43, and alias “Mike,” 34.
Recovered from the suspects were 10 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, with an estimated total weight of 15.38 grams and a standard drug price of P104,584, along with one P500 bill used as buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, reports from the chiefs of police of Hagonoy, San Miguel, Malolos, Norzagaray, San Rafael, Calumpit, Marilao, Bustos, and Guiguinto, separate buy-bust operations conducted by their respective SDEUs led to the arrest of 20 suspected drug peddlers.
Also seized were 30 sachets of suspected shabu and five sachets of dried marijuana leaves, with an estimated total value of ₱263,888, including the buy-bust money used in the operations.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Forensic Unit for proper examination, while cases for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing.
Bulacan Police director Col. Angel L. Garcillano said authorities will continue intensified operations against illegal drugs as part of the campaign to maintain peace and public safety in the province.
