Woman hurt after being shot by unidentified suspect in Rizal

Authorities are hunting down an unidentified suspect who shot and wounded a woman in Rodriguez, Rizal on Sunday night, Jan. 11.
The Rodriguez Municipal Police Station (Rodriguez MPS) said the victim also remains unidentified. She was reportedly wearing black shorts and a black sleeveless top.
Police said a barangay staff reported the shooting, which occurred along Sitio Upper Tan-ag in Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez, at around 9:30 p.m.
Upon responding to the area, investigators found the victim lying face down on the ground and covered in blood.
She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Rodriguez police are conducting follow-up operations and a thorough investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting and to identify the suspect.
Authorities urged families with a missing relative matching the victim’s description to contact them immediately.
