Saying goodbye to 2025 with a grateful heart, actor and director Alden Richards is starting 2026 on a busy note.
During the launch of his newest endorsement, Specialign Clear Braces, Alden gave a glimpse of what fans can expect from him this year.
"Medyo loaded tayo this year with a lot of projects. I’ll be doing one series with a streaming platform, na malalaman ninyo din po, eventually. Then, balik primetime po tayo with 'Code Gray.' Medyo puno na yung halos half of the year (We're pretty loaded this year with a lot of projects. I'll be doing a series with a streaming platform, that you'll also get to know, eventually. Then we're back on primetime with 'Code Gray.' The first half of the year is pretty full)," he said.
He also revealed that the dance reality competition "Stars on the Floor" will be returning for a second season with him reprising his role as host.
Alden shared a brief description of his character in "Code Gray."
"This is the first time I’m going to be portraying a medical practitioner, particularly a surgeon. So, this is a medical drama na action din in a way. Naging engineer na tayo. Naging architect. Naging superhero. Naging lawyer. Wala pa tayong nagagawa that has something to do with the medical field so, it’s exciting," (This is the first time I'm going to be portraying a medical practitioner, particularly a surgeon. So, this is a medical drama that also serves action in a way. I have already portrayed an engineer. I was also an architect. A superhero. I also played a lawyer. I haven't done anything that has something to do with the medical field so, it's exciting)," he added.
Alden mentioned the mantra that has pushed him to do more this year.
"2026 will be my year of reckoning. I think I've already reached a point in my life right now that I am so done dealing with things that are not beneficial to my growth. So I think this year, I will make it to a point to stand by my decisions, stand by myself," he said.
Aside from showbiz projects, Asia's Multimedia Star is also busy business-wise as he just opened another fast-food restaurant in his hometown Sta. Rosa in Laguna.
"Very excited talaga ako kasi it's in my hometown, kung saan ako lumaki, and it's also a heritage branch kaya we're very grateful to be granted to put up a store there," Alden shared.
Busy as he is, many are wondering if he has a love life to speak of.
Alden explained, "I'm waiting for love to come to me, kasi, based on my experience, parang ayoko siyang ilagay sa priority list right now. Sobrang daming nangyayari sa akin, and gusto ko muna i-solidify lahat yun (I'm waiting for love to come to me, because, based on my experience, I don't want to put it on the priority list right now. There's so much going on and I want to solidify all that."
