The Southern Police District’s intensified campaign against wanted persons led to the arrest of 60 fugitives during a series of coordinated manhunt operations across Southern Metro Manila.
During the one-week operation, SPD personnel apprehended 13 individuals listed on the Top Ten Most Wanted Persons, seven Most Wanted Individuals, and 40 other wanted individuals, demonstrating the district’s sustained focus on tracking fugitives through intelligence-driven operations.
SPD Director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo said the Parañaque City Police recorded the highest number of arrests with 20 wanted persons, followed by the Las Piñas City Police and Makati City Police, each with 10 arrests.
The Taguig City Police recorded eight arrests, while the Pasay City Police Station apprehended six individuals. The Muntinlupa City Police recorded four arrests, the Pateros Municipal Police arrested one wanted person, and the District Headquarters accounted for one arrest.
Arceo said the successful operation reflects the operational readiness, discipline, and commitment of SPD personnel in enforcing the law.
He emphasized that sustained manhunt operations are crucial in denying safe havens to fugitives and in strengthening public trust in law enforcement.
The SPD director added that the district will continue to intensify focused police operations to ensure that offenders are brought before the bar of justice.
He also called on the public to support law enforcement efforts by providing timely and accurate information through proper and established channels.
