P1.13-M illegal drugs seized by SPD in a week

The Southern Police District (SPD) confiscated a total of P1.13 million worth of illegal drugs in weeklong operations from Jan. 5 to 11.

A total of 52 police operations were carried out resulting in the arrest of 70 drug suspects.

Seized items included 165.39 grams of shabu and three vape devices containing marijuana oil/cannabis oil.

The Taguig police posted the highest seizure value at P666,556, followed by Pasay police with P117,844, and Muntinlupa police with P102,272.

Makati police seized drugs worth P86,360, Las Piñas police with P70,720, Pateros police with P54,400, and Parañaque police with P34,000.

Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD district director, said the district will continue to intensify focused police operations to dismantle drug networks and prevent the proliferation of illegal substances in communities.
