Kiel “Oheb” Soriano put together a flawless performance as Team Liquid clipped Team Falcons, 1-0, to move a win away from the knockout rounds of the M7 World Championship at the XO Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia on Sunday, Jan. 11.
The star gold laner was impeccable on the Claude pick as the Cavalry ran over the MENA representatives as soon as Oheb reached his power spike to go 2-0 in the tournament.
The M3 Worlds MVP finished with a neat 6-0-4 line on Claude although that would not happen without the help of jungler Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno who also had a perfect 3-0-3 line on the Nolan pick.
Team Falcons seemed to be holding its ground against TLPH after taking an early 3-1 in the opening minutes but Oheb picked off his gold lane counterpart twice, allowing him to take down outer turrets in the bottom lane.
Getting his hands on his core items, Oheb spearheaded the assault for TLPH as the Filipinos secured a twin kill in a midlane skirmish to secure the uncontested first Lord.
Although Team Falcons managed to fend off the first siege, TLPH would not be denied in the next Lord, ending the match with a 15-9 kill score and in just 15 minutes of play.
