SC launches poster-making contest for Grades 1 to 6 nationwide
The Supreme Court (SC) has launched a poster-making contest for elementary school students, Grades 1 to 6, nationwide in celebration of its 125th anniversary on June 11, 2026.
The theme for the contest is “Imagine a Just World” and thus, the SC said the participants should portray their “ideas of justice, fairness, and the role of the Judiciary to life through art using their creativity, imagination, and unique perspective.”
First prize will be P125,000; second prize, P75,000; third prize, P40,000 and 12 special prices of P10,000 each.
“All winners will be formally recognized during an Awarding Ceremony at the SC,” it said.
It also said the digital submission platform will be open this month and the deadline will be on Feb. 28, 2026.
It added that each school is allowed only one entry.
The 20 finalists will be invited to the SC to present their work before a panel of judges, and the selected entries will be displayed in an exhibit, the SC said.
It said that participants may produce the posters through traditional materials such as crayons, colored pencils, oil pastels, or watercolor, through digital tools and applications, or a combination of both.
Also, participants should prepare a title and a description of not more than 100 words on how the poster reflects the theme, it added.
