Just days before the Jan. 14 showing of their first movie together, "A Werewolf Boy," produced by Viva Films, rising young stars Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji shared good vibes as they exchanged inspiring and sweet New Year's messages.

"This January ko lang nabigay yung gift ko. We spent Christmas with our families. I gave him something na magagamit niya kapag walang siyang glam team. (I just gave him my gift this January. We spent Christmas with our families. I gave him something he can use when he doesn't have a glam team)," said Angela, during the mediacon at Viva Cafe in Araneta City on Jan. 7.

Rabin responded, "Sobrang sweet ng gift niya sa akin. Palaging yun ang problem ko kapag wala akong glam team. Like kapag may may show ako, then walang glam team at wala akong makeup. So nilalagyan niya ako ng makeup. Nagkaroon ako ng ka-loveteam na makeup artist din. So binilhan niya ako ng mga makeup. Sabi niya,' Halika rito.' So nilagyan niya ako ng makeup. (Her gift to me was so sweet. That's always my problem when I don't have a glam team. Like when I have a show, then there's no glam team, and I don't have makeup. So she puts makeup on me. Now I have a loveteam who is also a makeup artist. So she bought me makeup. She said, 'Come here.' So she put makeup on me.)"

But Rabin said he hasn't shared his Christmas gift for Angela. "Hindi ko pa naibibigay ang regalo ko sa kanya. Flowers lang naman po. (I haven't given her my gift yet. It's just flowers.)"

Rabin and Angela admitted they couldn't sleep well as the showing of their movie approaches. They also said they just pray for the success of their first film together.

"Wala naman kaming special rituals para maging blockbuster ang movie namin. Palagi lang namin pinagdarasal na kung ano man ang plano sa amin ni Lord, siya na ang bahala sa amin. Ang mahalaga ay binigay namin ang best namin sa project na ito. (We don't have any special rituals to make our movie a blockbuster. We just always pray that whatever the Lord has planned for us, He will take care of us. What's important is that we gave our best to this project)," he said.

Angela said she does not have any special rituals for the film's success, though she did eat 12 grapes under the table on New Year's Day. "Aside from that, wala naman akong ginawa na something special. Pero lagi kong pinagdarasal ang movie namin bago matulog kasi iniisip ko talaga siya. (Aside from that, I didn't do anything special. But I always pray about our movie before going to bed because I really think about it.)"

Rabin added, "Ang hirap matulog kasi malapit na (ipalabas ang movie). Nahihirapan ako matulog lately because kinakabahan ako. First movie kasi namin ito. (It's hard to sleep because it's almost (the movie's release). I've been having a hard time sleeping lately because I'm nervous. This is our first movie.)"

Angela and Rabin warmly shared heartfelt New Year's messages, each one a reflection of their hopes and dreams for the year ahead. Their words were filled with genuine affection and optimism, capturing the spirit of fresh beginnings and the promise of new adventures.

"Ang wish ko kay Rabin is that ma-nominate siya at manalo for Best Actor. Also, magka-MMFF movie kami. (My wish for Rabin is that he be nominated and win for Best Actor. Also, we can have an MMFF movie)," she said.

Rabin remarked, "Sa chat message namin, naka-pin na magkaka-MMFF movie kami this year. Pangarap talaga namin yun. (In our chat message, we mentioned that we wish to have an MMFF movie this year. That's really our dream.)"

On Rabin's wish for Angela, the young actor said, "Good health lang. At maraming projects together. Sana maka-trabaho namin yung ibang sikat na veteran stars. Sana magkasama pa rin kami sa mga future projects. (Just good health. And many projects together. I hope we can work with other famous veteran stars. I hope we will still be together in future projects.)"
