Audiences have something new to anticipate as My Husband Is a Mafia Boss—the story with over 218 million reads on Wattpad—is being adapted into a series. The novel, penned by the late Diana Marie Serrato Maranan (known online as Yanalovesyouu), is slated for release on Viva One in 2026.
The plot follows a college student who encounters a young billionaire CEO, later revealed to be a secret mafia boss. Through unexpected events and comedic twists, their relationship develops into an unlikely union, launching them on a complicated journey filled with secrets, mysteries, and lies.
Directed by Fi Solomon, this latest Viva One original series marks the first on-screen pairing of Rhen Escaño and Joseph Marco, who bring to life the beloved characters Aemie Romero and Ezekiel “Zeke” Roswell.
Aemie Romero (Rhen Escaño) is a third-year college student—beautiful, cheerful, and energetic. Many admire her, even if she can be a bit too much at times: childish and clumsy, yet uniquely captivating. Her lively personality leads her into a marriage she never saw coming.
Rhen has showcased her versatility as an actress throughout her career, impressing audiences across television and film. As Aemie, she reveals a new side of herself, portraying a character who is both cute and playful, yet strong-willed and ready for action-packed challenges.
Ezekiel “Zeke” Roswell (Joseph Marco) is an engineer, a young billionaire, and the CEO of a company. Intelligent, perfectionist, and often distant, only a select few have truly earned his trust. Beneath his successful exterior, Zeke is secretly a mafia boss. The weight of his responsibilities and challenges shifts dramatically when he meets Aemie.

With his commanding presence and strong features, Joseph perfectly embodies Zeke Roswell. Having starred in numerous romantic comedies and action dramas, Joseph captivates audiences with both his charm and his ability to deliver thrilling performances as a mafia boss.
Joining Joseph and Rhen is a new generation of actors, each playing significant roles throughout the series.
Frost Sandoval will portray Kaizer Maxwell Lamperouge, Zeke’s right-hand man and one of the key members of the Roswell Mafia Group. While Sara Joe will play Amesyl Cross, Aemie’s cousin and closest friend.
The series will also introduce Aemie’s circle of friends. Jaime Yllana will portray Nico Jeisz Young. Icee Ejercito is Caileigh Ferrer. Kyosu Guinto is Kevin Alferez. Dann Aquino will take on the role of Louie Birkins. And Aaliyah Coco will play Shan Venice Birkins.
Meanwhile, members of the Roswell Mafia Group include R-ji Lim of Alamat as Jacob Lee, PJ Rosario as Sebastian Lerwick, and Maru Delgado as Vash Boulstridge.
The series will also feature the enemies of the Roswell Mafia Group, the Yaji Mafia Group, led by Eiji Ferrer, to be played by Simon Ibarra. Members of the Yaji Mafia Group include Meisha Lamperouge, played by Roberta Tamondong, Hazel Calawod as Cassandra Heather, Tristan Klein, played by Naz San Juan, and Spade Clifford, played by MO Mitchell of Alamat.

Other characters include Violet Swansea, played by Priscilla Meirelles, Fiona Stonehurst, played by Kelley Day, Yuki Sonoda as Fauzia Arcadia, Bianca Santos as Kate Alonzo, and Sandex Gavin as Phoenix Strife.
The series will also feature Anjo Damiles as Jerson Ken Blood, Akihiro Blanco as Wallace Martin Lionhart, and Edsel Santiago as Milka Shinize Boulstridge.
Ara Mina will portray Alyana Heartily-Ferrer, Aemie’s equally childish yet sweet and caring mother, with a secret that might just push Aemie and Zeke apart.
