CEBU CITY – A 50-year-old man tagged by the police as a high-value target yielded P7-million worth of suspected shabu when he was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Clarin, Bohol on Thursday night, Jan. 8.
Recovered from the suspect, Jimmy, was 1.1 kilos of shabu with an estimated value of P1,854,000.
Operatives of the Special Operations Unit and Drug Enforcement Group cornered the suspect in Purok 2, Barangay Caluwasan.
The contraband was concealed in plastic packs with Chinese markings, police said.
Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7), said the arrest and the seizure of the multi-million worth of illegal drugs showed the seriousness of the campaign against illegal drugs in the region.
“PRO-7 will not give illegal drugs or their operators any space. This operation proves our resolve to relentlessly pursue drug personalities and dismantle their networks,” said Maranan.
