BACOLOD police, jail, and fire personnel.
BACOLOD CITY – The city government will increase its monthly allowance for over 1,000 Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology personnel by P500 from P1,500 to P2,000 starting this January.
Mayor Greg Gasataya said the increase is part of the city's commitment to support police, fire, and jail personnel tasked with public safety.
“You all carry the responsibility of ensuring public safety, and for that, we are deeply grateful,” the mayor said.
The Bacolod City Police Office receives an annual allocation of P20.5 million from the city for peace and order programs.
BCPO director Police Col. Joeresty Coronica said the increased allowance would significantly boost the morale and welfare of police personnel. (with PNA)
