The Southern Police District (SPD) recorded a significant accomplishment after arresting 46 individuals during a 24-hour anti-criminality operation conducted from Jan. 7 to 8.
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD director, said that as part of the district’s continuing campaign against illegal drugs, operatives seized 33.28 grams of shabu, 1.63 grams of marijuana, and three vials of marijuana oil, with a total standard drug price of P233,999.60.
Arceo said the operations resulted in the arrest of 19 drug personalities.
Meanwhile, intensified manhunt operations against wanted persons led to the conduct of 14 operations, resulting in the arrest of four Top Most Wanted Persons, one Most Wanted Person, and nine other wanted individuals.
Operations against illegal gambling involved six operations, which led to the arrest of 13 individuals and the confiscation of P3,323.00 in bet money.
Arceo added that the strict implementation of local ordinances resulted in the apprehension of 4,389 violators, with a total of P736,000.00 in fines collected.
In a statement, Arceo commended the dedication and professionalism of SPD personnel and acknowledged the support of partner agencies and the community.
“These accomplishments are the result of our police officers’ continuing efforts to uphold law and order in southern Metro Manila. We remain committed to strengthening our operational strategies, increasing police visibility, and encouraging community cooperation to ensure public safety and security,” Arceo said.
