THE PRO-3 contingent is blessed before their deployment for the Traslacion in Manila.
CALASIAO, Pangasinan – The Police Regional Office-3 deployed 1,500 personnel to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Thursday to reinforce security operations for the Feast of the Black Nazarene or Traslacion on Friday, Jan. 9, in Manila.
PRO-3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., during the send-off ceremony in Camp Olivas, San Fernando City, Pampanga, said the deployment reflects their readiness and commitment to ensure public safety during large-scale religious events.
“This is not just a PRO-3 task. This is a PNP mission,” he said.
Peñones reminded the contingent to remain disciplined, patient, and professional while performing their duties.
Rev. Fr. Police Lt. Col. Jonathan L. Chy, PRO-3 regional pastoral officer, blessed troops and prayed for their safety, strength, and sound judgment as they carry out their mission in Manila.
