A special job fair organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Jan. 9 in Clark Freeport Zone will provide more than 2,900 positions for displaced and job-seeking workers.
DOLE Central Luzon, in partnership with the Clark Development Corporation, said the event will cater to 477 employees from Charter Link Clark, Inc., affected by declining garment orders.
It will also serve 390 probationary staff from La Rose Noire Philippines, Inc., who were terminated for not meeting company standards.
Scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clark Event and Conference Hall, the job fair will host 20 participating employers.
Available positions include 900 customer service representatives, 500 production helpers, and 100 slots each for project helpers, assembly technicians, and production operators.
Participants can also access on-site services for unemployment insurance benefits and other DOLE programs.
A labor advisory desk will be available to guide workers on the support they can avail during the event.
Through initiatives like this, DOLE reinforces its commitment to helping displaced workers secure new employment while responding to the evolving demands of the labor market.
