ROSARIO, Batangas -- The suspect in the killing of a woman whose body was stuffed in a box found under a bridge in Basud, Camarines Norte, voluntarily surrendered to the Rosario Municipal Police Station, Batangas, on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
Police identified the suspect as Arnel Domingo, 35.
Domingo allegedly killed Anelis Abamonga Agocoy, 37, of Barangay Bura, Catarman, Camiguin.
Police Lt. Col. Ronie Siriban, Rosario police chief, after the suspect surrendered, provided assistance to the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office Intelligence Unit, Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office led by Police Lt. Col. Paul Cabug for the turnover of the suspect to the proper investigating authority at the Cabuyao City Police Station in Laguna.
The body of the victim was discovered wrapped in a blanket inside a black plastic storage box under the Pinagwarasan Bridge on Jan. 2.
Bicol and Calabarzon police are investigating the incident and released a cartographic sketch of the suspect who was positively identified by witnesses.
