Recto to Bar passers: Always choose to do what is right, even unpopular

Executive Secretary Ralph Recto congratulated the 2025 Bar passers and urged them to always choose to do what is right and never waver in pursuit of truth and justice.
In a statement, Recto encouraged the Bar passers to let integrity guide their practice and their courage sustain them in hard moments.
"As you start your journey in the legal profession, may you never waver in your pursuit of truth and justice. Let your integrity guide your practice, and your courage sustain you in the hard moments," Recto said on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
"Always choose to do what is right even when it is not popular or easy. And above all, never forget the Filipino nation whom you ultimately serve in the pursuit of what is just," Recto added.
The Executive Secretary also encouraged them to put their intellect and heart in fighting for what is right.
"Ilagay natin ang ating galing, talino, at puso sa pagpili at paglaban para sa tama-para sa kinabukasan ng bawat Pilipino at ng ating bansa (Let us put our skill, intellect, and heart into choosing and fighting for what is right—for the future of every Filipino and of our country," Recto said.
There are 5,594 passers in the 2025 online Bar examinations administered by the Supreme Court (SC) last September.
A total of 11,425 examinees out of 13,193 registered applicants finished the three-day examinations which were conducted in 14 testing centers nationwide last Sept. 7, 10, and 14.
