Government anti-narcotics agents seized around P47.8 billion worth of illegal drugs in nationwide anti0illegal drugs operations in 2025, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.
PDEA said the figure is 123 percent more than the value of illegal drugs confiscated in 2024, adding that the 2025 recorded significant operational accomplishments underscore its steadfast commitment to dismantling illegal drug networks and safeguarding Filipino communities.
During the 2025 nationwide operations, PDEA said that 51,614 drug suspects were arrested with the anti-narcotics agents striking at the very core of the country’s illegal drug trade, from street-level pushers to high-value targeted drug personalities.
Foremost among the confiscated drugs was shabu, totaling 6.59 tons worth P44.83 billion.
Also seized 174,347.56 grams of cocaine worth P924,042,063.23; 24,860 tablets of ecstasy valued at P42,262,000; 546,102.92 grams of marijuana kush costing P655,323,505.92; and 1,850,610.88 grams of dried marijuana leaves and bricks worth P222,073,305.14).
Anti-narcotic agents also confiscated 515,698.19 grams of marijuana stalks worth P61,883,783.21); 147,907.99 grams of marijuana fruiting tops valued at P17,748,958.44); 17.09 grams of marijuana seeds costing P2,051.32); 4,899,543 marijuana plants worth P979,908,600; 183,257 marijuana seedlings valued at P7,330,280 along with other dangerous drugs.
“These achievements demonstrate PDEA’s firm resolve in leading the national anti-drug campaign. Through precision-driven strategies, uncompromising enforcement, seamless inter-agency cooperation, and the active participation of local communities, the agency continues to cripple drug syndicates and protect the future of our nation,” PDEA Director General Isagani R. Nerez said.
Nerez also called on all sectors of society to remain vigilant and actively support the fight against illegal drugs by reporting drug-related activities, strengthening community-based prevention efforts, and working closely with drug law enforcement authorities.
Aside from the PDEA, 2025 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and other partner law enforcement agencies.
