The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested 3,209 wanted persons for various crimes in 2025.
Of this number, SPD operatives apprehended two national, 35 regional, 82 district, and 513 station-level fugitives, along with 755 most wanted persons and 1,822 other wanted individuals.
SPD has jurisdition over the cities of Muntinlupa, Taguig, Las Pinas, Paranaque, Pasay and Makati, and the municipality of Pateros.
The SPD said the total arrested persons reflected the district’s focused enforcement of the rule of law, ensuring that fugitives were located, tracked, and arrested regardless of time or location.
“These results show what focused leadership and sustained police work can accomplish. Our personnel remained persistent throughout the year to ensure that wanted persons were brought before the courts and communities remained safe,” said Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD district director.
Meanwhile, the SPD Intelligence Unit, under Col. Carlito Narag Jr., was recognized as the National Capital Region Police Office’s top performer for November 2025.
The distinction was conferred by the Regional Intelligence Division of the NCRPO after the unit garnered an outstanding average rating of 96.50 points, the highest among all evaluated units during the period.
The certificate of recognition was formally awarded last December.
