In an interview on Wednesday, Jan. 7, Marcos said that charges have already been drafted against Senators Jinggoy Estrada, Joel Villanueva, and former Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr.
She also stated that included in the charges are incumbent representatives Edwin Gardiola, as well as Eric and Edvic Yap.
The senator said that she also has information that the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) will be disbanded by Feb. 1.
"Alam ko na pinagmamalaki na kumpleto na raw yung ebidensya at pwede na i-file (I am aware that they are already boasting that the evidence is complete and can now be filed)," she said.
"Ngayon ang sinasabi rin wala raw sa ngayon direct evidence linking Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero, former Senator Nancy Binay, former Senator Grace Poe, and Senator Mark Villar at hinahanda daw yun (They are also saying that, as of now, there is no direct evidence linking Senator Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero, former Senator Nancy Binay, former Senator Grace Poe, and Senator Mark Villar, but that such evidence is reportedly being prepared)," she added.
Marcos questioned why mostly senators are being implicated in the flood control controversy, noting that the issue originally stemmed from the House of Representatives and the Speaker’s Office during the so-called "small bicam".
She also stated that she has given up on the flood control investigation since the removal of Senator Rodante Marcoleta as the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman, alleging that investigators were barred from pursuing higher-level officials and contractors involved in the projects.
"Tapos sasabihin pa, hindi lang sa hindi binabanggit at iniiwasan, pinagtatanggol pa (And then they say, not only are they not mentioned and avoided, but they are even being defended). No evidence directly linking the Speaker," Marcos said, referring to former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
"'Pag umakyat, 'pag tumaas wala kayong sinasabi, lahat irrelevant, lahat hearsay. E talagang wala na tayong pag-asa na makukulong yung talagang nag-mastermind at nagumpisa nito (When you try to go higher, once you reach the upper levels they say you have nothing to say—everything is irrelevant, everything is hearsay. So we really have no hope anymore that the ones who masterminded and started this will ever be jailed)," she added.
