DPWH releases Jan. 6-12 EDSA lane repairs schedule

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has released the schedule for January 6 to 12 as lane repairs continue along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue, or EDSA.
DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon said the overnight repairs are timed to minimize traffic disruption while asphalt overlaying, rotomilling, and concrete reblocking proceed on selected lanes.
Repair works schedule
Asphalt overlaying
10 p.m. to 4 a.m., Monday to Friday

Northbound lanes – Asphalt overlay
January 6-11, 2026
Magallanes to Ayala Underpass, second to fifth lanes (includes application of second asphalt layer)
Rotomilling works
Southbound lanes
January 6, 2026 – Scout Mariano to Aurora Boulevard, second to fourth lanes
January 8-10, 2026 – Vanguard Academy to Kalayaan Flyover, second to fourth lanes
Northbound lanes
January 7, 2026 – Aurora Boulevard to Apelo Cruz, third to fifth lanes
Concrete reblocking works
Northbound lane
January 9-12, 2026 – Roxas Boulevard to Taft Avenue, third lane
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes and plan trips ahead as lane reductions are expected during repair hours.
Dizon added that EDSA’s rehabilitation, which started on Dec. 24, is targeted for completion within eight months.
Phase one covers Roxas Boulevard to Orense, while phase two will rehabilitate the remaining sections of the highway.
