  • Jetour Auto Philippines organised a closed, three-day owner drive combining long-distance touring, guided sand driving, and cultural stops across Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.
  • The activity allowed Jetour T2 owners to experience extended highway travel and supervised off-road driving at the Paoay Sand Dunes under professional instruction.
  • The drive also served as a platform for owners and brand representatives to interact directly, exchange feedback, and build rapport outside a showroom setting.
Jetour Auto Philippines brought together a group of Jetour T2 owners for a three-day off-road drive in Ilocos Norte, combining long-distance highway travel, guided sand driving, and visits to several of the province’s natural and heritage sites. The activity, called the Jetour T2 Sand Dunes Experience, was structured as a closed owner event rather than a public demonstration.
Participants assembled before sunrise at the Jetour Auto Quezon Avenue flagship showroom for a short briefing and vehicle checks before departing as a convoy for Ilocos Norte. The journey north took approximately 13 hours, covering a mix of expressways and provincial roads. For many of the owners, the drive served as a practical test of comfort, ride stability, and endurance during prolonged travel, while also allowing participants to get acquainted ahead of the off-road portion of the trip.
Among the participants was Aldrin Francisco, a Jetour T2 owner based in Saudi Arabia, who returned to the Philippines specifically to join the activity. Francisco is known among Filipino expatriate car enthusiasts for sharing his ownership experience and off-road driving activities. During the trip, he interacted closely with local owners, discussing driving techniques and vehicle setup based on his experience using the T2 in different environments.
The second day of the drive mixed sightseeing with more technical driving. The group first travelled to the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation in Burgos, Ilocos Norte, where participants spent time exploring the coastal limestone formations before continuing toward Paoay town proper. A guided stop at the Paoay Church followed, giving owners time to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site before shifting focus to off-road driving later in the afternoon.
The main off-road activities took place at Suba within the Paoay Sand Dunes. Before entering the dunes, participants attended a terrain briefing conducted by accredited 4x4 instructor Leland Pascual. The session covered basic sand driving principles, safety protocols, and vehicle handling techniques. Owners then took turns navigating soft sand, uneven dune faces, and steep inclines under supervision, progressing gradually as confidence and familiarity increased.
A smaller group later participated in a more advanced session led by Pascual and Francisco, where drivers were able to apply additional techniques and explore more demanding dune sections. These runs allowed participants to better understand how driver input, momentum, and traction management affected vehicle behaviour in deep sand. The day concluded with informal activities at the dunes before the group returned to their accommodation.
On the final day, the convoy travelled to Vigan City in Ilocos Sur, another UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its preserved Spanish colonial streets and ancestral houses. Participants spent time exploring the city on foot before gathering for lunch. The slower pace provided an opportunity for owners to reflect on the trip, exchange observations about vehicle performance across different conditions, and discuss future group drives.
Marketing Director, Cherry May De Los Santos, said the activity was intended to bring owners together and provide an opportunity to experience their vehicles beyond everyday use. “This Sand Dunes Experience goes beyond just testing the limits of the Jetour T2. It’s about creating meaningful connections with our owners, celebrating their passion for driving, and showing them the full capability of our vehicles in both thrilling and cultural settings. Seeing their joy and engagement across Ilocos Norte has been truly inspiring.”
By the end of the three-day drive, participants had covered long highway stretches, completed guided off-road sessions, and visited several key locations in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur. The Jetour T2 Sand Dunes Experience functioned as both a structured driving activity and a social gathering, allowing owners to evaluate their vehicles in varied conditions while interacting directly with fellow participants and brand representatives.
