2 suspects in murder of truck driver arrested

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Two suspects were arrested on Monday, Jan. 5, for the murder of a truck driver over the weekend.
The suspects were identified as Archie, 27, a resident of Barangay Manicahan here, and Jonel, 44, of Barangay Lunzuran, this city. Both vehemently denied involvement in the crime.
The suspects were subjected to a paraffin test as part of the process to prove their culpability.
Police are investigating bullets from an illegal discharge of firearms incident in Barangay Manicahan to match them with those used in the killing.
The victim, Muktasul Lalao, was shot and killed while driving a truck along MCLL Highway on Sunday.
