TikTok Shop reports 200% sales surge for Filipino MSMEs in 2025
TikTok Shop, the e-commerce arm of the social media giant, said it helped increase sales for sellers on its platform by up to 200 percent last year.
TikTok Shop said its live selling feature, digital tools, and capacity-building programs are helping local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to grow their businesses nationwide.
The e-commerce platform also pointed to its creator partnerships, education initiatives, and collaborations with government and industry partners in helping online sellers thrive in an increasingly competitive market.
Yves Gonzalez, head of public policy for the Philippines at TikTok Shop, said these programs are positioning the platform as not just a marketplace but also as a genuine partner for entrepreneurs.
“Our work ensures that sellers can grow responsibly, reach wider audiences, and strengthen the communities they serve, creating long-term socio-economic impact for the Philippines,” he said.
Gonzalez said one of their key initiatives last year was the ACE Indicator System, which helped sellers refine product listing and pricing strategies, create short-video and livestream content, and strengthen shop performance.
These structured learning paths and analytics-driven insights are helping sellers make informed decisions and sustain long-term growth on the platform, he said.
TikTok Shop also rolled out the #SarilingAtin initiative last year, with a focus on local MSMEs and their homegrown products.
Under the program, sales of locally produced goods rose by more than 230 percent.
To ensure that the momentum of higher sales is sustainable, Gonzalez said the platform has been equipping entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and safe access to digital commerce, enabling them to operate their businesses successfully.
“Supporting local MSMEs strengthens not just individual livelihoods, but the broader economy, ensuring that growth is inclusive, responsible, and resilient,” said Gonzalez.
Through its contributions to the MSME ecosystem, TikTok Shop is taking a more active role in driving economic opportunity, community growth, and digital innovation in the country.
Based on government estimates, MSMEs account for 99 percent of all businesses in the Philippines.
