2 dead as dump truck rams nipa hut in Laguna

SINILOAN, Laguna – Two persons died and five others were injured when a dump truck rammed a nipa hut on Monday afternoon in Barangay Mayatba, this town.
Police identified the victim as Karen and Rain, 16.
Investigation said dump truck driver Alexander lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an electric steel post.
The dump truck turned on its side and hit the victims’ nipa hut.
Alexander was injured along with four occupants of the nipa hut – Niña, 19; Nel, 23; Migs, and Aira.
Victims were taken to a hospital in Pakil, Laguna where two of them were declared dead.
Alexander faces a complaint of reckless imprudence resulting in double homicide, multiple physical injuries, and damage to property.
