Truck driver shot dead in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A truck driver was shot dead in this city on Sunday night, Jan. 4.
Police identified the victim as Muktasul Macrohon of Barangay Ayala Ecozone.
Investigation said the victim was driving his truck to Cebu province when an unidentified man riding a motorcycle appeared.
The gunman opened fire at Macrohon who was wounded in the left shoulder.
Macrohon was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
The suspect fled and recovered from the crime scene were two empty 9mm shell casings.
Lawmen are conducting follow-up and pursuit operations.
