Kamanggagawa Party-list Rep. Eli San Fernando says he has yet to get a hold of the list of flood control project insertions, contrary to a claim made by his House colleague Batangas 1st district Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste.

"Inaantay ko nga rin hanggang ngayon na may dumating sakin na kopya eh. Kasi kung meron na, isshare ko agad sa public (I'm actually waiting up to now for the copy to arrive. Because once it's here, I'll immediately share it to the public)," San Fernando said in message to reporters Monday, Jan. 5.

Less than 24 hour earlier, Leviste posted a photo of him with San Fernando and suspended Cavite 4th district Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste.

"Mapayapang Bagong Taon sa inyong lahat! ???? May kopya na rin pala ng listahan ng flood control project insertions sina Congressman Kiko Barzaga at Eli San Fernando - Kamanggagawa Partylist. ????" the Batangueño wrote.

(A peaceful New Year to all! Congressmen Kiko Barzaga at Eli San Fernando of Kamanggagawa Party-list already have copies of the list of flood control project insertions.)

But the House minority bloc member clarified that, at least as of this posting, he had no such document in his possession.

"Wala pa! Binibiro ko nga si Cong. Leandro na baka ako naman ang targetin dahil sa sinabi nya! (I don't have it yet! I joked with Cong Leandro that I may become the target because of what he said!) San Fernando candidly said.

At any rate, he appeared to be aligned with Leviste’s call to observe transparency when it comes to budget documents from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

"Kung ano man ang list o file na meron patungkol sa allocations, insertions lalo na sa DPWH projs, karapatan ng lahat na makita at malaman kung ano ang laman niyan (It's the public's right to see and know whatever list or file exists regarding allocations and insertions, especially on DPWH projects)," the party-list lawmaker said.
