(DOST-PAGASA)
A low-pressure area (LPA) was monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Monday, Jan. 5.
The state weather bureau said the LPA is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
As of 2 p.m., PAGASA noted that the weather disturbance remains outside the PAR.
The agency advised the public to continue monitoring official updates as weather systems may still change even while outside the PAR.
