“Nagykarácsony” (A Christmas Flame) is a Hungarian romantic comedy that follows the story of Arnold, a firefighter whose life unravels after a disastrous wedding proposal. Struggling with vertigo and strange visions, Arnold is forced to take a job at a Christmas market, where he meets Eszter, a teacher organizing a school play. Through Eszter’s support, Arnold confronts his fears, rediscovers the magic of Christmas, and learns to believe in himself again—all amidst the chaos and charm of the holiday season.

As the film unfolded on the silver screen, its message resonated deeply: sometimes all it takes is a small spark to rekindle the spirit and bring people closer together. This sentiment beautifully reflected the Embassy’s work throughout 2025—strengthening cultural ties, fostering economic cooperation, and building meaningful partnerships.
