The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) maintained industrial peace and safeguarded workers’ rights in 2025 by resolving 98.07 percent of labor disputes nationwide.
Most cases were amicably settled through the Single Entry Approach (SEnA), ensuring efficient resolution without disrupting livelihoods or business operations.
Settlements through SEnA granted over P8.34 billion in monetary awards to more than 109,000 workers.
Preventive mediation, voluntary arbitration, and strike-management mechanisms further reinforced industrial peace, helping prevent workplace conflicts from escalating.
Labor protections were strengthened through the National Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (NTIPC).
Department Orders 251-25 and 252-25 were issued to combat discrimination against women and update occupational safety and health standards, respectively.
Department Order 253-25 prescribed welfare facilities for construction workers, ensuring safer and better working conditions.
DOLE conducted inspections in 33,007 establishments nationwide, covering 3.7 million workers to ensure compliance with labor laws.
The agency also carried out 168,100 technical and advisory visits, resulting in compliance rates of 94.53 percent for general labor standards and 90.06 percent for occupational safety and health.
Amid the country’s vulnerability to calamities and other disruptions, Labor Advisory No. 15, series of 2025, promoted labor and management preparedness to protect workers and businesses.
Additionally, 541 occupational safety and health trainings reached nearly 22,000 workers nationwide, strengthening workplace safety and awareness across industries.
