Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) has listed the following areas where e-bikes are not allowed to pass: Dr. A. Santos Avenue, Quirino Avenue, NAIA Road/MIA Road, Roxas Boulevard, West Service Road, East Service Road, and Airport Road (Mabuhay Lane).
Olivarez said the advisory took effect on January 2 as a reminder to e-bike users to avoid these roads, which have been identified as areas where traffic congestion usually builds up.
He added that additional traffic enforcers will be deployed to monitor the areas and prevent e-bike users from passing through the prohibited roads.
The mayor emphasized that the restriction of e-bikes along major thoroughfares aims not only to ease traffic congestion but also to ensure the safety of e-bike users and other road users.
To avoid inconvenience, Olivarez advised all e-bike users to strictly follow the LTO policies, which the local government fully supports.
