RAZALAN (IPPO)
ILOILO CITY – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) under Police Col. Bayani Razalan on Sunday reported their achievements for 2025.
Razalan said nearly P166-million worth of suspected shabu was seized from 515 drug suspects in 3,371 anti-drug operations from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31.
Police in 42 municipalities and the component city of Passi filed 1,071 cases for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
Nine-hundred seventy-five wanted persons were caught – 287 most wanted persons and 685 other wanted persons.
Police recovered 608 loose firearms, including 140 confiscated during various operations.
Two-hundred persons were arrested for illegal gambling and 100 criminal charges were filed.
The IPPO collaborated with the Provincial Dagat Task Force and arrested of 654 persons for illegal fishing. Illegally harvested fish worth P493,370 was confiscated and 376 fishing vessels were impounded.
Police arrested 221 individuals for illegal quarry operations and impounded 219 vehicles.
Fourteen illegal loggers were nabbed and illegal lumber valued at P141,700 were recovered.
Razalan lauded operating units for their accomplishments and thanked administration of Gov. Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. for providing their logistical needs.
Police Lt. Col. Rolando Araño, IPPO spokesperson, vowed to sustain their gains this year.
