Cebu bettor becomes instant multimillionaire after hitting P288.6-M Grand Lotto jackpot

A lucky lone bettor from Cebu became an instant multimillionaire after winning the over P280-million jackpot of the Grand Lotto 6/55 during the Saturday, Jan. 3, draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said.
The agency said the bettor precisely guessed the winning combination 13-42-06-45-24-33.
PCSO said the lucky bettor bagged a total jackpot prize of P288,616,075.
The agency said the winning ticket was purchased at an outlet located in Compostela, Poblacion, Cebu.
Meanwhile, 47 bettors each won P100,000 for getting five of the six-digit winning combination of the Grand Lotto.
Under the TRAIN Law, 20 percent tax will be automatically deducted from the jackpot prize.
To claim the jackpot, the lucky bettor must proceed to the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City and present two valid IDs.
It can be recalled that a lone bettor from Sorsogon City also became a millionaire after bagging the P14,435,567 jackpot of the Megalotto 6/45 during the Jan. 2 draw.
