All BTS' official Instagram account posts deleted ahead of March comeback
Ahead of the much-awaited comeback of K-pop idol group BTS, all the posts in the boy band's official Instagram account were deleted, signaling a new start.
The official BTS Instagram account was created in November 2015 and currently has 77.7 million followers and follows 11 accounts, including the personal Instagram accounts of RM, Jin, Jungkook, Suga, Jimin, V and J-Hope.
The Instagram account’s 1,779 posts were deleted on Dec. 31.
On Jan. 1, Big Hit Music, BTS’ agency, announced that BTS will release a new album on March 20.
It will be their first full-group album release in about three years and nine months since their anthology album "Proof" in June 2022. “Proof” sold 2.15 million copies on the first day of release and 2.75 million copies in the first week.
Related to this, BTS sent handwritten letters to ARMYs (fans) to express their gratitude for their unwavering support. The letters, dated "2026.3.20," announced their comeback.
BTS’ comeback has been anticipated by fans and the Korean music industry. During the duration of the members’ military service from 2022 to 2025, the focus was mainly on individual activities.
Following the release of their new album on March 20, BTS will embark on a world tour.
