Quiapo Church issues advisory ahead of blessing of Jesus Nazareno images, replicas

The Quiapo Church administration has issued an advisory for those who wish to have their images and replicas of the Jesus Nazareno blessed on Saturday, Jan. 3, as part of the celebration of the Feast of the Jesus Nazarene and Traslacion 2026.

In its advisory released on Friday, Jan. 2, all affiliated Balangays containing images and replicas of the Jesus Nazareno may proceed to the following roads in Quiapo based on the entry points they agreed upon by the leadership of the Hijos del Nazareno:

Entrance 1:

- Rizal Avenue

- Carriedo St.

- Plaza Miranda

- Quezon Boulevard

Entrance 2:

- Plaza Lacson

- Carlos Palanca

- Villalobos St.

- Plaza Miranda

- Quezon Boulevard

Entrance 3:

- Carlos Palanca

- Quinta Market

- Quezon Blvd. southbound under Quezon Bridge pass thru Quezon Boulevard

"Iwasan po natin dumaan sa Quezon Boulevard patungo sa lugar ng inyong papasukang pila. Kung maaari ay sa napagkasunduang lugar na lamang. Para sa mga indibiduwal na deboto na may iniingatang replika naman, maaari po kayo magmula sa Carriedo St. upang makasabay sa daloy ng pagbabasbas (Please avoid going through Quezon Boulevard to the place where you will be entering the queue. If possible, go to the agreed-upon place only. For individual devotees who have a replica, you can come from Carriedo St. to keep up with the flow of the blessing)," the church administration said, adding that the blessing will be held at the Quezon Boulevard footbridge.

Exit points have also been designated for those who have their replicas blessed:

- Thru Quezon Boulevard

- P. Paterno St.

- Gonzalo Puyat (Raon)

- Sales

- Ronquillo St.

- Recto Avenue

The Quiapo Church also advised motorists to refrain from passing through Quiapo from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. when the blessing of the replicas is being conducted.
