Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy is beyond grateful as he earned a standing ovation for his performance at the Trump estate in Florida to cap off 2025.

On his official Facebook page on December 29, Marcelito uploaded a video of himself performing the song "The Prayer" at Mar-a-Lago, the private estate of US President Donald Trump.

Showing off his capability to sing in both male and female register, also present during the event was the First Lady, Melania Trump.

"What a start to 2026! A real dream came true," Marcelito wrote on Facebook, thanking those who made his performance possible.

Afterward, the singer greeted the Trumps with a handshake and was praised by the president, who also posed for a photo with him.

“No further explanation needed. The perfect way to start 2026” Marcelito wrote as the caption for his photos with the Trumps.

Marcelito first gained recognition after winning Season 2 of Pilipinas Got Talent and later placed as third runner-up on America’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2020.
