IE Academy 2025: Honoring excellence, leadership, and envisioning new horizons

The Department of Industrial Engineering Department of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)—Manila will once again celebrate student excellence on Jan. 6, 2026, as it relaunches the IE Academy Awards 2025. Organized by the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers—PUP Student Chapter (PIIE-PUPSC), this event serves as a testament to the department’s commitment to excellence and honoring student development.
The IE Academy Award is a platform that commemorates the dedication and achievement of the students who demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, and service. By highlighting both their academic and non-academic achievements, it aims to celebrate outstanding student accomplishments during the Academic Year 2024-2025. This seeks to inspire students to pursue excellence in multiple facets and reflect the idea that success in the field of industrial engineering is not defined by mere academic performance but also through leadership, service, professional growth, and creative pursuits.
The IE Academy Awards further expands its recognition into a broader spectrum of accomplishments, reinforcing a culture that values diversity in talent and contribution. In the pursuit of fostering a culture of excellence and acknowledging students, the Semestral Achiever’s List (SAL), now in its fifth year, serves as a vital instrument in honoring the academic journey and scholarly contributions of the students within the industrial engineering department. This year’s awarding ceremony also acknowledges the outstanding participants and winners of IEScholastics 10.0, another significant event that showcases the competencies of IE students in academics, arts, speech, and literature.
The awards feature major award categories, each reflecting the values and ideals of industrial engineering. The Semestral Achiever’s List celebrates academic distinction, while leadership and service are recognized through the Frederick Winslow Taylor Prize and the Lean Impact Advocate of the Year. The KAIZEN Award honors the students’ commitment to continuous growth, and the Bright IEscholar Award highlights student excellence in academic competition, Finally, the Rising Star Award acknowledges students who excelled in non-academic pursuits.
As the IE Academy Awards returns to the spotlight at Bulwagang Balagtas, the PUP industrial engineering department reaffirms its dedication to nurturing individuals who embody excellence, integrity, and innovation. By encouraging students to continue to envision new horizons beyond academics, the IE Academy Awards continues to inspire future Industrial Engineers to lead with purpose and innovate with integrity.
