Former senator Richard Gordon was unanimously re-elected as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) during its 34th Biennial Convention.

In a statement issued on April 30, the PRC confirmed Gordon’s re-election, solidifying his continued leadership of the country’s premier humanitarian organization.
Gordon, who has held the top post since 2004, was lauded for his pivotal role in the transformation and modernization of the PRC.
Under his leadership, the organization has evolved from focusing primarily on blood services into a multifaceted humanitarian institution actively engaged in disaster response, health and safety services, shelter, water and sanitation, and community welfare.

Alongside Gordon, the PRC Board of Governors also elected new officers: Carissa O. Coscolluela as Vice Chairperson, Rodolfo O. Reyes as Board Secretary, and George G. Lorenzana as Treasurer.
Their election signals continuity and strengthened leadership within the organization as it aims to expand its reach and services nationwide.
The PRC continues to play a crucial role in responding to both natural and man-made disasters, with its leadership emphasizing a renewed commitment to humanitarian service, innovation, and community empowerment.
