Fire hits bars in Manila

Several bars were gutted by a fire that hit a commercial area along Maria Orosa corner Nakpil Street in Malate, Manila early Thursday morning, May 1.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started at 2:07 a.m. and quickly reached the 2nd alarm at 2:10 a.m. Firefighters declared fire out at 3:57 a.m.

No one was reported hurt during the incident.

Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and the amount of damage to property.
