Two young boys drown in Bulacan river


Two young boys drowned in a river near Brgy Loma de Gato, Marilao, near the boundary of Brgy. Bahay Pare of Meycauayan City, Bulacan on Tuesday, April, 8.

Police identified the victims as Justine, 10, and Sabrino, 11, both of Meycauayan City. 

Investigation revealed that the victims were swimming in the river under the heritage bridge in Barangay Loma de Gato when they were swept away by the strong currents. 

Rescue teams from Barangays Bahay Pare of Meycauayan City and Loma de Gato of Marilao immediately tried to save the victims but failed. 

The bodies of the victims were recovered in the river at around 12:15 pm and 2:33 pm respectively.
