Jetour Auto to show off two new T2 SUV variants at MIAS 2025

T2 Panda and T2 Lightning i-DM

Jetour Auto Philippines is aiming to leave a strong impression at this year's Manila International Auto Show (MIAS 2025) by bringing not just one, but two new variants of its popular T2 SUV to the spotlight. The special edition T2 Panda and the electrified T2 Lightning i-DM will both be showcased to the public to show off the brand's evolving approach to design, performance, and sustainability.

The T2 Panda Edition, first previewed at the opening of the Jetour Quezon Avenue dealership, stands out with its striking black-and-white exterior inspired by the coloration of its namesake. This limited-run variant adds several unique features to the already capable T2 platform. It sports a bold Terminator Grille that helps improve airflow and engine protection, while riding on new alloys and Nitto Terra Grappler all-terrain tires for added grip across varied surfaces. A touch-activated 4-eye top light enhances nighttime visibility, while the addition of side protectors, a rear spoiler, and a roof-mounted luggage carrier increases both functionality and flair. The latter includes a side ladder and is capable of carrying up to 17 kilograms of extra cargo, ideal for weekend getaways and off-road trips.

Powering the Panda Edition is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 254-PS at 5,500 rpm and 390-Nm of torque between 1,750 and 4,000 rpm. The powertrain is matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.

Alongside the Panda Edition, Jetour will also be showcasing the T2 Lightning i-DM, a plug-in hybrid version of the same SUV. It is equipped by Chery's Kunpeng Super Hybrid C-DM system with a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. The Lightning i-DM is driven by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that generates 156-PS and 220-Nm of torque. Complementing this are dual electric motors that contribute a combined 224-PS and 390-Nm. Together, the hybrid system delivers 380-PS and 610-Nm of torque in total output.

The Lightning i-DM is equipped with a 26.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery, which allows for an electric-only range of up to 100 kilometers. With a full charge and a full tank, the vehicle offers a combined driving range of up to 1,000 kilometers. It also features vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, which means it can power external electronic devices, adding practical versatility for outdoor activities or emergencies.

Visitors to MIAS 2025, happening from April 10 to 13 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, can see both the T2 Panda Edition and the T2 Lightning i-DM up close.
