Floreces Logronio Tadla, an entrepreneur, shared on her Facebook account some photos taken by Rachel Evangelista Pilapil, staff of the House of Hope, on the gifts they received on Monday, April 7, a day after the Vice President arrived from a visit to her father.
Tadla thanked the former President and Vice President Duterte and shared a letter thank-you letter from the children for the presents.
They said in the letter:
“Dear "FPRRD" Rody Duterte,
I hope you are well in The Hague. We want to express our gratitude for the chocolates you sent to the Kids of Hope. It truly means a lot that, even from afar, you thought of bringing joy to our patients.
To everyone who contributed to making this gift possible, we are incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity. A special thank you to VP Sara for facilitating the delivery to the House of Hope. The smiles on the kids' faces when they received the chocolates were priceless.”
Visiting pediatric cancer patients at the House of Hope and giving gifts during former President Duterte’s birthday, Christmas, and other special occasions are an annual tradition of the Dutertes.
