Cops net P27-M shabu from drug dealer

BACOLOD CITY – Police recovered suspected shabu valued at P27.2 million and arrested a drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Maslog, Sibulan, Negros Oriental on Wednesday, April 9.

Police identified the suspect as 50-year-old Eljin, a resident of Bais City, Negros Oriental.

Recovered from Elgin, a high-value individual in the illegal drugs trade, were four kilos of shabu.

Police said the suspect was apprehended following intelligence information about his illegal activities.

Police Col. Ronan Claravall, Negros Oriental police chief, said they are probing the origin and source of the contraband.

Elgin was nabbed two days after another suspected drug pusher yielded suspected shabu worth P13.6 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bantayanon, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
