Woman dies after being hit by bus in EDSA busway

A woman died on the spot after she was hit and run over by a bus while crossing the Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) busway along Monte de Piedad street in Quezon City on Tuesday morning, April 8.

According to witnesses, they saw the woman carrying plastic bottles who was about to cross the busway.

The driver of the bus did not see the victim in front of the vehicle and hit her.

Police officers immediately responded to the incident together with medical personnel and declared the woman dead on the spot.
 
Authorities are still investigating the incident. The bus driver is now under the custody of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
