Pasig congressional aspirant Atty. Ian Sia is once again in hot water following his remarks on one of his staff's physical attributes just days after his controversial single moms joke that earned the ire of the public.
In one of his campaign sorties posted on social media, Sia invited his assistant "Jaja" to come up the stage and went on to comment about her body weight.
"Kahit po ang mga staff ko po, tipikal po, puro lalaki, isa lang ho ang kasama kong babae nung araw. Isa lang po ang kasama kong babae, si Jaja. Nasaan si Jaja? Nagdadiet ba? Magpakita ka lang, para di ka pagselosan. Asawa ni Eweng, ka-batch ko. Ngayon kasama na ho ni Atty. Tantan... Magpakita ka lang Jaja. Yan. Yan ho ang staff (Even though my staff consists mostly of males, I do had a female staff member that was with me during that time. She was the lone female member of my staff and her name is Jaja. Jaja? Are you dieting? Just come up the stage so that others will not be jealous of you. She is the wife of my batch mate Eweng. Just show yourself Jaja)," Sia said.
"Jaja, ano ba hitsura mo nung nakaraang labinlimang taon, payat? Ah hindi, nung nakuha ka na ni Eweng. Mataba ka na. Nung magkasama pa lang tayo, ito na ang katawan ni Jaja. Give or take....Ang point ko ho, iyan po ba ang magiging staff ng manyak? Di ho. Ang kasama ko naman ngayon, asawa ni Kuya Mario, si Ate Olive. Fifty-nine years old. Di ho. Following this, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) issued another show cause order to Sia for him to explain his statements within three days.
"In view of the foregoing, you are hereby ordered to show cause in writing within a non-extendible period of three days from receipt hereof and to explain why a complaint for election offense and / or a petition for disqualification should not be filed against you," the Comelec said.
"Failure on your part to comply with this Order shall be construed a waiver of your right to be heard and the filing of the appropriate case against you," it added.
Single Moms
On April 4, the Comelec issued a show cause order against Sia following his lewd remarks about single mothers during one of his sorties.
"Minsan sa isang taon ang mga solo parent na babae na nireregla pa… Nay, malinaw, nireregla pa—at nalulungkot, minsan sa isang taon, pwede pong sumiping sa akin. Yun pong interesado magpalista na po dito sa table sa gilid (Sometimes, once a year, female solo parents who are still menstruating… Ma'm, it's clear, still menstruating—and feeling sad, sometimes once a year, they can sleep with me. Those interested in signing up, please go to the table on the side).” Sia said.
He claimed that his remark was just a joke to keep the impatient audience engaged.
“Nais ko po sanang linawin ang aking sinabi sa video. Sa pamamagitan ng isang biro, ang layunin ko lamang po ay makuha ang atensyon ng mga tao, dahil sila po ay naiinip na, upang mas madali nilang maintindihan ang mga mahahalagang mensahe na kailangan nating pag-usapan (I would like to clarify what I said in the video.
