Man nabbed for stealing CCTV, cash in Angono, Rizal


Authorities reported on Tuesday, April 8, the arrest of a 24-year-old man who robbed a microfinance company in Angono, Rizal of cash and a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera in a bid to hide evidence of his crime.

The Angono Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as “Jomar” who was arrested by the station’s tracker team.

 

Jomar, along with two accomplices, stole a 32-inch television (TV), four central processing units (CPUs), a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera, a router, and cash amounting to P25,426.

Based on the investigation, a company employee discovered the missing items on Monday, April 7. The employee also noted that the padlock had been forcibly opened prompting him to report the incident to the authorities.

 

A follow-up operation is ongoing to apprehend the two other suspects who managed to escape.

 

Jomar is currently under the custody of the Angono police. (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
