Reeling from a 25-23, 15-25, 28-26, 25-22 loss to the Shai Nitura-led Adamson last weekend, the Lady Bulldogs seek to regain their triumphant ways and reassert their dominance over the slumping Lady Warriors in their 1 p.m. duel.

Serving as a closer is a showdown between Far Eastern University and Ateneo at 3 p.m. where both schools aim to strengthen their Final Four bid.

With Alyssa Solomon indefinitely out with a mild ankle sprain, battle-tested skipper Bella Belen hopes to lead NU back to the winning track and bury the bad memory of their loss to the Lady Falcons.

“Ni-remind din kami ng [mga] coaches, dapat kami sa tuwing maglalaro kami, dapat ‘di namin iniisip na ibibigay samin ng madali, lalo’t na ‘yong kalaban namin mga lower-ranked teams,” said Belen.

“Talagang mahihirapan kami, kaya dapat sa mga next games kung kaya naming i-dominate ‘yong game, gawin namin,” she added.

The two-time UAAP MVP banners the Lady Bulldogs alongside Vange Alinsug, Erin Pangilinan, and Lams Lamina while having the support of Minierva Maaya, Arah Panique.

On the other hand, UE relies on Van Bangayan, Khy Cepada and Kayce Balingit as they try to survive the overwhelming challenge of NU.

In the FEU-Ateneo clash, the Lady Tamaraws, who carry a 7-4 tally – tied with University of Santo Tomas – go for back-to-back victories as they aim to inch closer to the league leaders and last year’s semifinalists NU (9-2) and De La Salle University (8-3).

Fueled by a 25-21, 25-16, 14-25, 26-24 triumph over UP, Faida Bakanke, Gerz Petallo, Chen Tagaod, Jaz Ellarina and Jean Asis, who all starred in that game, are ready to spearhead FEU anew with captain Tin Ubaldo presiding over the playmaking department.
