Cops net P13-M shabu in Northern Mindanao

BUTUAN CITY - Police recovered shabu valued at P13 million in a week-long law enforcement operation in Northern Mindanao.

Police Regional Office 10-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Joanne G. Navarro said 79 law violators were nabbed from March 28 to April 4.

“All the arrested individuals are now facing different charges in courts in the region,” Navarro said.

She said they conducted 46 anti-illegal drug operations where 54 individuals were apprehended.

Seven persons were caught for illegal gambling and P5,000 in bet money were confiscated.

Sixteen wanted persons were apprehended – three most wanted persons and 13 other wanted persons.

Two individuals were arrested and 10 guns were recovered in eight operations in the campaign against loose firearms.

Navarro said mining equipment valued at P255,000 were confiscated in two operations against illegal mining.

PRO-10 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jaysen C. de Guzman commended lawmen for their achievements.
