Carpenter arrested for statutory rape in Taguig


The Taguig police arrested a man who was tagged as the Taguig police’s No. 1 most wanted person for the second quarter of the year on April 7. 

Personnel from the Taguig police’s Sub-station 9 arrested alias Winzon, 35, a carpenter, in Purok 2, Barangay New Lower Bicutan for two counts of statutory rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic Act 8353.

The warrant of arrest with no bail recommended was issued on Feb. 27, 2023 by Presiding Judge Byron San Pedro of the Taguig Family Court Branch 15. 

Following his arrest, the accused was brought to the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital for a physical and medical examinations and was turned over to the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Taguig police. 

The warrant of arrest will be returned to the court.
